Eric graduated from the University of Illinois in 2002 with a Bachelors and Masters in Accountancy and earned his Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) accreditation in that same year. Eric started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Business Advisory services practice where most of his time was spent auditing public and private companies in the real estate sector. In 2005, Eric joined the Crisis Management group within FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance practice where he provided turnaround advisory services for public and private companies. In late 2010, after a long run in Corporate America, Eric entered the real estate industry and launched OwnIt Capital Partners (“OiCP”) with his long time friend, Drew. Borrowing on the vast network of real estate owners and developers he built during his time in Corporate America, Eric set out to begin syndicating multifamily real estate investments. What started with an acquisition of a 3-flat in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood, has evolved into a variety of value-add multifamily and mixed use investments throughout the Midwest. Eric’s time is spent primarily in acquisitions, equity syndication and capital structuring for OiCP. Outside of real estate, Eric is a father to 3 highly energetic kids who he coaches across a variety of sports. He is also a member of the Board of the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago.
A Professional Engineer (P.E.), Drew graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Drew spent the first eight years of his career working in the engineering consulting field while simultaneously building the infrastructure to launch a real estate investment operation. During his engineering tenure, Drew managed multiple multi-billion dollar engineering projects, which helped him develop superior skill sets in the areas of diligent project management and analytical assessments. Starting with his foundation in project management and analytical assessments and drawing on his passion for real estate, Drew teamed up with Eric in late 2010 to undertake OiCP’s first real estate investment in Avondale. Drew is primarily responsible for overseeing the execution of all OiCP investments, including construction, property management, leasing and dispositions. He has pioneered the creation of OiCP’s infrastructure, which serves as the cornerstone for achieving superior investor returns. He also works closely with Eric on acquisitions and equity syndication, as well as researches new geographies for potential acquisitions. Outside of real estate, Drew is a coach, an avid skier and active contributor in his community.
